Sonic Ecosystem 460

a model of an agent
by Ollie Bown

This installation work presents a sonic ecosystem model of the artificial evolution and diversification of a population of sonic agents and their susceptibility to being affected by changes to their environment. Sonic Ecosystem is a project by Ollie Bown, electronic musician and researcher interested in dynamical system and artificial life approaches to musical performance, creativity and the co-evolution of software and creative practice.

An early version of Sonic Ecosystem has been showcased at Netaudio’08 and at Club Transmediale 2009. The latest version of Sonic Ecosystem was presented at Shunt from 12-15 Aug 2009.
